This page explains the data used to operate the MotionRGB website and GridCue, including account, subscription and local app data.
1. Who this policy covers
MotionRGB operates motionrgb.com and GridCue. This policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the public website, create a GridCue account, use GridCue Pro, or contact MotionRGB.
For privacy or account requests, contact contact@motionrgb.com.
2. Public website
The public MotionRGB website does not currently include advertising pixels or non-essential analytics trackers. MotionRGB does not currently use a marketing cookie banner because those tracking tools are not loaded by the public site.
Hosting and security infrastructure may process standard technical request information, such as IP address, browser information and request logs, where necessary to deliver and protect the website.
3. GridCue account data
If you create a GridCue account, the account system may process your email address, account identifier, optional profile information and authentication data needed to sign you in. GridCue also maintains subscription and entitlement records so the app can determine whether an account is Free or Pro.
Device records may include a device identifier, device name, creation date and last-seen time. These records are used for account and access functionality.
4. Payments and subscriptions
GridCue Pro payments and billing are handled through Stripe. MotionRGB and GridCue do not store your full card number or card security code. Subscription records may include Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan status, billing period information and cancellation status so Pro access can be kept in sync.
5. Local GridCue data
GridCue reads iRacing session and telemetry information locally to power live tools and overlays. The app also stores settings and product data on your computer, including items such as overlay layouts, hotkeys, owned-content sync results, notes, practice targets, local session history, bookmarks and diagnostic logs.
This local driving and preference data is generally kept on your device. It is not treated as a cloud profile unless a feature specifically says it synchronises data online or you choose to send diagnostic information to MotionRGB for support.
6. Service providers
MotionRGB uses service providers where needed to operate GridCue and the website. Current core providers include Supabase for GridCue authentication and account/subscription records, Stripe for checkout and billing, and Cloudflare for website hosting and security. Those providers process data under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.
GridCue also interacts with iRacing locally and, when you request owned-content sync, may open or read iRacing pages needed for that function. GridCue is an independent third-party companion and is not affiliated with or endorsed by iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC.
7. Why data is processed
Personal data is processed only where there is a valid reason to do so, such as providing the service or subscription you requested, maintaining account security, meeting legal or accounting obligations, responding to support requests, or protecting the service from abuse. If a future feature requires consent, that consent will be requested separately.
8. Retention
Account and subscription records are kept for as long as they are needed to provide the account or meet legitimate legal, accounting and security requirements. Local GridCue data remains on your device until you clear it, remove the relevant app data or uninstall the application. Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain necessary records.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal data. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.
Send requests to contact@motionrgb.com. MotionRGB may need to verify that the request relates to your account before acting on it.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when GridCue, the website or the services used to operate them change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
